We were rushing for time. Got to check in fast, shop for a gift and visit my colleague in Tokyo. Not to mention that this is our first time here and we don't even know how to get to Tokyo Building, except that it is outside Tokyo JR Station.
When we stepped out of Shinagawa station, it was raining quite heavily. It was freezing! I only decided on a shirt and jacket. It was quite alright but the hands and face were unprotected and the cold was biting!
After walking around the vicinity, we had to go back to the hotel departmental gift shop ; there's a small shopping complex there. Japanese are really good at presentation. The chocolates, biscuits are all so nicely wrapped. They look so good that you can't bear to eat them. In the end, I chose a nice box of chocolates. Hope they taste as good. So off to Tokyo Building and with an additional layer of a sweater as well.
My worst fear came true, we had a hard time looking for Tokyo Building. After asking my colleague for directions a number of time, we finally made it. What a nice building they have. They even have a Tully Coffee bar at the top level.
We waited for my colleague Shingo Suzuki to finish up, then went for dinner. It was at a sushi restaurant at Marunouchi. Think it was at the 7th floor. We had lots of sashimi, tempura, miso soups and sake. My first time at sake and boy, it was good. It is actually slightly sweet and easy to go down.
After dinner, it's back to the hotel. I only got about 2 hours of sleep the previous night, so I'm really tired.
